S Major Wright is running with the starters and looks like the favorite to stay there at SS. DC Rod Marinelli said that players tend to make big steps in their 2nd years in his scheme. He also called Wright an “excellent tackler” who is also good on the ball in coverage. Wright missed the 1st half of last season with a hamstring injury but was a key reason the Bears didn’t try to re-sign Danieal Manning. He should be in for more than the 72 total tackles that Manning collected last year.
