New England Patriots’ defensive end Andre Carter’s season is over following a quadricep injury, according to the Boston Herald.
Carter has 10 sacks this year, and is a key piece of the Patriots pass rush. The Patriots had one of the worst pass defenses in the league, but have played better in recent weeks. The loss of Carter will hurt that effort.
“It just depends on what we’re told,” coach Bill Belichick said. “I’m not sure what their recommendations or their information will be. Whatever it is, we’ll base our decision in large part on that.”
