The Arizona Cardinals Hire Steve Keim as their New General Manager

The Arizona Cardinals have announced Steve Keim has been promoted as general manager for the team.

Keim, who has been with the Cardinals organization since 1999, replaces Rod Graves who was fired last week. Originally hired as a regional scout for the team, Keim rose through the ranks of the organization and was named director of player personnel in 2008, then jumped to vice president last season.

The Cardinals also interviewed Redskins director of player personnel Morocco Brown for the position.

Keim was a two-time all-ACC guard for North Carolina State and briefly spent some time with the Miami Dolphins before returning to N.C. State as an assistant strength and conditioning coach and recruiting assistant. He was then hired by the Cardinals, and has been a long-time part of the team’s draft process.
