Steelers Can’t Find a Hotel in New York or New Jersey

When the New York Giants host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at Metlife Stadium the Steelers will have their hands full before the game even starts.

According to a report from Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers will travel to and from New York/New Jersey on the same day in lieu of spending the night somewhere in the tri-state area.

Why?

Because the Steelers are having a hard time finding a hotel that is able to accommodate them. This is no doubt due to the disaster that Hurricane Sandy has caused, leaving thousands without power, homes flooded or even gone and lives lost.

It’s a good thing the Steelers-Giants game will be played at 4:25pm ET, which will ensure that there will be plenty of time during the morning and day to make the trip and get to the stadium. But with the sudden change in travel plans, the changing back of the clocks and the effects of Hurricane Sandy it could be a major distraction for the Steelers.
