Before Sunday’s Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens, a chorus from Sandy Hook Elementary School will sign a rendition of “America the Beautiful.”
The chorus will feature 26 children from Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, where 20 first-grade children and six faculty members lost their lives during a Dec. 14 mass shooting.
After the tragedy, a number of teams wore decals on the back of their helmets that read S.H.E.S (Sandy Hook Elementary School) to honor the lives lost on Dec. 14
The performance will be broadcasted live during CBS’s pre-game show.
