New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan is upset that Dominique Rodgers- Cromartie was signed by the Giants this week. Rex has always been elaborate with how he felt about certain situations within the organization. Last season Rex manage to pull his team together and live another season. In order to keep his coaching position with the Jets, Rex needs to have a better season than last.
Since Cromartie has signed with the Giants, the Jets needs to find someone to fill in the cornerback position. There have been speculations the Jets are looking at Antonio Cromartie. Despite an 8-8 season the Jet’s defense was 11th in the league, but Rex wants consistency. “He expects each player on that defense to know everyone’s job,” David Harris said. “It’s a comfort level seeing him (installing), because nobody knows the defense better than Rex.”
“I just love to teach,” the Jets’ coach said. “I love the classroom. I just like getting in front and installing defenses.” As of now, Rex has his hands full with signing a corner to fill in the shoes that Dominique Rodgers Cromartie had filled. This season could be the end of the era for Rex if he doesn’t have a great season.
