Green Bay Packers vice president of administration/general counsel Jason Wied is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team for “personal reasons.”
In a statement, Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy said Wied is “going to take some time to take care of a personal matter” and the team’s senior staff will take on his duties during his absence.
Wied, who grew up in Green Bay, joined the Packers’ in 2000. He has been a key player in the planned development around Lambeau Field and is considered a potential successor to Murphy.
