Jets 35 Colts 9

This is how Rex Ryan drew it up all summer for the Jets. The plan was to run the ball effectively, not make Mark Sanchez do too much, and squeeze the life out of the opponent with stifling defense.

On Sunday, it all worked for the Jets. Shonn Greene rushed for 161 yards and had three touchdowns. Mark Sanchez completer 11 of his 18 pass attempts and threw for 2 touchdowns without an interception. Rex Ryan’s defense had 2 interceptions, forced 2 fumbles, and held the Colts to just 9 points.

Andrew Luck had his worst game as a pro completing only 22 of his 44 passing attempts for 280 yards and 2 interceptions. For the first time in his career, Luck failed to throw a touchdown pass.

Next week, the Jets (3-3) travel to New England to play the Patriots and the Colts (2-3) are home to play the Browns.
