After waiting, Lamar’s name was on the draft card after two long days before his dream was able to become true. With a trade up, the 97th overall pick in the 2012, NFL Draft was Lamar Miller out of Miami.
The Miami Dolphins found their man to help fill needs of improvement. His swagger on the field and playmaking ability will be a great asset to that Miami’s offense alongside of Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas. The benefits of having two fast crafty running backs in your system is huge, because teams will have a difficult time preparing against a potential three running back rotation.
This Miami product gets to stay in his college stadium where he is already comfortable playing, which gives him an early advantage. With Ryan Tannehill as their potential franchise quarterback, Miller will release some of the pressure off Tannehill when the ball is in his hands. This gifted athlete will turn heads and eventually make those Dolphin fans very proud with his potential productivity.
Come training camp, this can be the #2 running back on the roster behind Reggie Bush, because having two home run threats is definitely better than having one.
