Seattle, WA- A person with a vision that is enlighting the community is a great asset to have when individuals are going through dark times or periods in their lives where they feel lost.
Motivational speaker Monti Washington is serving not just his community with encouraging words, but national. He has just started a tour this year going to different schools speaking and helping out anyone that is going through some turmoil in their life.”You just never know what someone is going through. When I first started speaking a lady wrote me a letter thanking me for saving her life. Before she came to one of my engagements, she was thinking about killing herself, but she didn’t after hearing the message that I was giving at that current time and it motivated me.”
Before Monti was a motivational speaker, he had to deal with the harsh reality of his mother being on drugs, not having much of a positive support system, and living in an environment that had so much negative energy, but Monti fought through it all and one day decided that he was not going to be a statistic, nor let anyone down by not pursuing his passion. “One day I woke up and wanted to change how I thought about life. I always had a passion for helping people out, so I decided that this was something I wanted to pursue. I surrounded myself with like-minded individuals, did my research on how to build my platform and market myself, and started speaking about my the trials that I had to overcome, not knowing that my words were touching someone in a positive manner.”
Monti is all about peace, being kind, and helping others through some hardships, but he is most passionate about telling people to go after there dreams no matter what age that they are. “If you are passionate about the path that you are pursuing, show action. Anyone can talk, but it takes a dedicated structure, people who support you, and willpower when things do not go as planned.” “There are a lot of people that are comfortable with being just average and will not follow their dreamers because it is out of their comfort zone, but in order to achieve success, you have to be willing to adapt with being uncomfortable. Being in an uncomfortable setting will help you grow and mature into the potential that you can be.”
Monti’s main goal during his tour will be to help and encourage more people and just bring people from all walks together.
