The New York Jets select Dee Milliner

Dee MillinerFans chanted “Geno!” “Geno!” perhaps suggesting their disgust of the team’s current situation at quarterback. The controversial and almost laughable New York Jets made positive headlines with their 2013 selection.

While the Gang Green faithful continued to cheer as loudly and wildly, Commissioner Roger Goodell announced that Rex Ryan and company would be selecting the former Alabama standout, Dee Milliner.

The J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets have landed an immediate replacement for the loss of their former superstar, Darrelle Revis. With an outstanding college pedigree, this pick is an absolute home run for the team. The only doubts surrounding Millier were concerns about previous injuries keeping him sidelined for the 2013 campaign; though he was medically cleared by doctors.

Milliner was one of the most impressive prospects at the NFL Combine, showcasing a blazing 40-yard dash for the NFL talent evaluators. There is seemingly little doubt that he can translate his on-field successes from college to the next level, and Rex Ryan might be having the last laugh after an off-season that received constant criticism from media and fans alike.
