The Atlanta Falcons made a statement and embaressed the New York Giants in the process. The Falcons improved to 7-0 at home defeating the Giants, 34-0.
The win inched the Falcons closer to home field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. There has been talk that the Falcons were a “soft” 11-2, but not many will call them a soft 12-2.
Matt Ryan lead the way with 270 yards passing and three touchdown passes. Julio Jones had two touchdowns and Tony Gonzalez also scored for the Falcons.
Eli Manning had a miserable day passing for less than 200 yards and throwing two interceptions.
Next week, the Falcons (12-2) will be in Detroit for Monday Night Football, and the Giants (8-6) will travel to Baltimore to play the Ravens.
