Seahawks 23 Bears 17 (OT)

It was said that the 2012 version of the Chicago Bears do not lose with Jay Cutler as their quarterback. Today, the Seattle Seahawks killed that hypothesis by defeating the Bears 23-17 in overtime.

The game was back and forth and full of lead changes and was tied on three different occasions.

The Seahawks thought they had won the game when their quarterback Russell Wilson hooked up with Golden Tate in the end zone with only :24 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. The touchdown had given the Seahawks a three point lead.

Cutler wasn’t ready to lose. On his first play from scrimmage after the Tate touchdown, Cutler hooked up with Brandon Marshall for 56 yards to move the Bears into field goal range. Robbie Gould nailed the field goal and we were headed to overtime.

In overtime, Seattle made sure that the Bears and Cutler couldn’t effect the outcome of the game. On the Seahawks first possession in overtime, Wilson hooked up with Sidney Rice for a walk off touchdown pass. The Seahawks had defeated the Bears, 23-17.
