ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Rams have signed free agent RB Jerious Norwood. While Norwood’s contract is likely ultra-cheap, there’s a good chance he heads into the season as the #2 back. The 28-year-old is an explosive runner when healthy, but that’s been the biggest issue so far in his 5-year career. Norwood has played in all 16 games just once (in 2008), and is coming off a torn ACL. Overall, though, this is a low-risk move for a Rams squad desperately seeking talent behind workhorse Steven Jackson. With 40+ catch upside, consider the new Ram a late round option in PPR leagues.
