Super Bowl MVP Rodgers Starts Record Label

NFL Players have broadened their horizons more than usual this offseason, trying their hands at everything from professional boxing to bull riding.  Super Bowl MVP Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers is expanding his horizons, too, starting his own record label.

Rodgers recently formed Suspended Sunrise Recordings, and has signed his first band – The Make out of his hometown of Chico, California.

Their website, www.themakemusic.com, features a running countdown to the release of their first single “Get It,” arriving on July 5.  Rodgers and the band were recently spotted at the Tall Pines Bowling Alley, in Paradise, California, which will serve as the backdrop to the video for “Get It.”

Rodgers said that starting a record label has been a dream of his for a couple of year.  “It’s about being with people who have the same passion for music as I do,” Rodgers told the Paradise Post in Paradise, CA.

The band consists of his high school friends Jeff Schneeweis, Trevor Sellers and Sarah Ann.  Rodgers was excited to see the launch of The Make get one step closer, with the production of the video.  Asked if he will be making an appearance in the video, Rodgers just smiled and said, “We’ll see.”
