Key Player Injuries – Forte, Orton, Dalton

Bears RB Matt Forte sprained his MCL early in Chicago’s loss on Sunday to the Chiefs.  He is expected to miss between 2 and 6 weeks.  Another tough loss for the Bears, after Cutler going down.

Chiefs QB Kyle Orton didn’t start but was put in the game in relief of Tyler Palko, and dislocated the index finger on his throwing hand on the first pass he threw, an incomplete.  The severity and time out is still unknown.

Bengals QB Andy Dalton suffered a hip injury in the second half of Cincinnati’s game against the Steelers on Sunday.  He was walking on the sidelines and didn’t appear to be in pain, although he didn’t return to the game.

Browns RB Peyton Hillis suffered an undisclosed injury on Sunday, and details and prognosis weren’t immediately available.

Packers RB James Starks injured his ankle on Sunday.

Jets RB Joe McKnight left in the second half of their game on Sunday with an elbow injury, and he’ll undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

Texans WR Andre Johnson injured his hamstring in the second half, but it is the opposite hamstring that kept him out for 7 weeks already this season.

Broncos WR Eddie Royal suffered a neck injury on Sunday.

The injury bug continued to hit the Bills.  CB Aaron Wilson left the game with a knee injury and didn’t return, and TE Scott Chandler suffered an ankle injury.

Vikings QB Christian Ponder was hobbling with a bruised hip, but expects to be ok.

49ers LB Patrick Willis left the Rams game with a hamstring injury and didn’t return in the second half, but the injury isn’t believed to be serious.
