The Bears defense came up big in the 23 to 6 win over the Rams, rebounding from the loss to the Packers last week. The defense put pressure on Rams QB Sam Bradford the whole game and came up with 6 sacks and 2 INTs, and one of those interceptions was returned for a TD by Major Wright.
The offense was very solid, only giving up 2 sacks and 1 turnover. Cutler went to Brandon Marshall early and often and Marshall responded with 5 catches for 71 yards. At times Cutler was forcing the issue and if he gets time from the offensive line, receivers will open up instead of trying to force the ball into Marshall. All in all, Cutler did a solid job managing the offense and avoiding any key errors.
On defensive side of the ball, the secondary continues to come up big and was outstanding today. Tim Jennings is a big reason, as he picked off his fourth INT of the season. Jennings is currently leading the league in interceptions and continues his Pro Bowl season. Watch for a lot more big plays from the Bears defense this season, as despite the added weapons on offense, the Bears continue to live and die by their defense.
