Fantasy Week 4
Trenches or Benches
Week 3 Review
Quarterback:
- Ben Roethlisberger came thru in fine fashion with 384 yards and 4 touchdowns.
- Ryan Fitzpatrick was a pleasant surprise with 208 yards and 3 touchdowns.
- Matt Cassel: The Kansas City offense did well but, Cassel hurt fantasy owners with only 248 yards and no touchdowns.
Running Back:
- MJD blew up rushing for 177 yards and a touchdown. He also had 2 catches for 16 yards.
- Michael Bush got banged up but managed 55 yards and a touchdown before leaving the game.
- Bust: Adrian Peterson managed 107 total yards, but as anticipated, he was held out of the end zone.
Wide Receiver:
- Justin Blackmon was a complete disaster catching only one ball for eight yards.
- Leonard Hankerson was only able to grab 4 balls for 58 yards.
- Titus Young answered fantasy owners prayers catching a Hail Mary that boosted his stats to 6 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown.
- Bust: Percy Harvin overachieved amassing 9 catches for 89 yards.
Tight End:
- Heath Miller hit the jackpot with 8 catches for 60 yards and 2 scores.
- Scott Chandler was a disappointment with only 2 catches for 22 yards.
- Bust: Brandon Myers had 4 catches for 55 yards. Not bad, but not great.
Week 4 Picks:
Quarterbacks:
Upside: Philip Rivers
This is the week Rivers gets in going, look fot him to finally get Gates involved.
Projection: 275 passing and 2 touchdowns
Sleeper: Ryan Fiztpatrick
Fitzpatrick is the choice for sleeper again this week. The Patriots are giving up a lot of yards through the air.
Projection: 300 yards passing and 2 touchdowns
Bust: Jay Cutler
Cutler will struggle this week to avoid the Cowboys pass rush and strong secondary. Put him on the bench.
Running Backs:
Upside: Marshawn Lynch
Lynch should take advantage of a weak Rams defense.
Projection: 130 total yards and a score
Upside: Doug Martin
Martin should give the Redskins grief this week.
Projection: 100 yards and a touchdown
Sleeper: Ryan Williams
Williams is the Cardinals starting running back with Beanie Wells injured.
Projection: 100 yards and a touchdown
Bust: Daniel Thomas and Reggie Bush
With Bush banged up, the ball will be spread around leaving both players with only a handful of touches. Combine that with the improved Cardinals defense and I would avoid the Dolphins backs this week.
Wide Receivers:
Upside: Brandon Lloyd
Lloyd will finally put it together this week in whats looks to be a shootout in Orchard Park.
Upside: DeSean Jackson
Jacokson will be heavily involved in another shootout. Look for Vick go deep several times this week against the Giants.
Bust: Jets Wide Receivers
The Jets play the stingy 49ers defense and Sanchez has struggled this season. Run and hide!
TIGHT ENDS:
Upside: Jermichael Finley
Finley will have a bust out game in what could be the highest scoring game of the week. Start your Packers and Saints and sit back and enjoy the show.
Sleeper: Greg Olsen
Olsen will benefit from the Falcons keying on the run. Look for 75 yards and a touchdown.
Bust: Vernon Davis
With Revis Island out for the season, Moss and Crabtree could find some room against a weakened Jets secondary. The Jets linebackers should be able to limit Davis.
