Jennifer Cobb, who is an alumni cheerleader for the Los Angeles Rams uses her platform to promote her foundation Team Gateway to a Cure. “Team Gateway to a Cure means so much to me. This foundation is something that enlighten individuals about Parkinson disease, as well as making sure that people are aware of treatments, a great support system, and making sure that everyone knows how to make whomever comfortable with the disease.”
Jennifer’s dad suffers from Parkinson and she has been fond of the courage that her father puts up each and everyday. “My dad is my rock. I know he is fighting everyday with this disease and has helped me gain more knowledge. I have researched the ins and outs about this disease, if there were any cures, and how to make my dad, as well as myself comfortable.”
While Jennifer is an alumni cheerleader for the Rams, she has expressed her gratitude about the organization and how they have helped her. “It is amazing that I am doing something I love, as well as educating others about Parkinson. The platform that I was given to convey a positive message about the disease has been great. I am very thankful and love how they have supported me.”
Outside of starting her foundation, Jennifer has a family, take care of her children, and her dad. Being positive is something that draws a lot of individuals to her and admire what she is doing. “I mean in life, you have to be a positive person. Trials will come, but you can not let that affect you in a negative way. You never know whom you may touch, so it is essential to shine your light in a positive way. Use your platform to encourage or shine light on different situations, diseases or concerns. We need to educate each other on life.”
“People who are going through any type of disease needs to have that encouraging support and I am so blessed that Team Gateway to a Cure has given people that.”
