To say the Miami Dolphins have a lot of injuries heading into their Thursday night game against the Cincinnati Bengals would be an understatement. 16 Dolphins were listed in the team’s final injury report and the team will be without a few of its key players on Thursday night.
Miami tight end Jordan Cameron (concussion), center Mike Pouncey (hip), running back Arian Foster (groin) and linebacker Koa Misi (neck) will not play against the Bengals. It was expected that Cameron, Pouncey and Foster would missed this week’s game considering this is a short week for the Dolphins but losing Misi hurts at linebacker.
Another linebacker that could be out for the Dolphins is Jelani Jenkins. He did not practice all week because of a groin injury and he is listed as doubtful for tomorrow night’s game.
Backup center Anthony Steen is also listed as doubtful as he suffered an ankle injury last weekend against the Cleveland Browns. If Steen does not go, veteran Kraig Urbik will likely be the team’s starting center against the Bengals.
Miami players that are questionable for tomorrow’s game include: tackle Branden Albert (ankle), linebacker Kiko Alonzo (hamstring), guard Jermon Bushrod (wrist), cornerback Xavien Howard (quad), defensive end Jason Jones (ankle), safety Reshad Jones (knee), receivers Jarvis Landry (shoulder) and DeVante Parker (hamstring), linebacker Spencer Paysinger (neck) and tight end Dion Sims (ankle).
Dolphins waive receiver Justin Hunter
Late on Wednesday, the Dolphins waived wide receiver Justin Hunter. The move was likely made because of the number of injuries the Dolphins have on their team. Miami has yet to announce if they will elevate a practice squad player to their active roster.
Hunter played in Week 1 for the Dolphins in their game against the Seattle Seahawks, but he didn’t record any stats. He was inactive in both Weeks 2 and 3.
Miami claimed Hunter off of waivers from the Tennessee Titans right before the start of the regular season on September 4.
