Cam Newton Out of Walking Boot
Panthers QB Cam Newton is no longer sporting a walking boot on his right ankle. He was injured Sunday during the Panthers' 30-23 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Newton says he expects to fully practice this week and it looks like the boot is a precautionary measure.
The No. 1 overall pick in the April draft ranks second in the NFL with 854 passing yards through two weeks, but the Panthers are 0-2.
We'll continue to update Cam's status throughout the week, but he should be fine for this coming Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
