The Miami Dolphins beat the Washington Redskins 20-9, seeming to have righted the ship. They now have won back-to-back games after an 0-7 start. The Dolphins improved to 2-7 while the Redskins slipped to 3-6, losing contact with the leading Gaints and Cowboys in the NFC East.
Reggie Bush made the difference, as he rushed for 2 touchdowns while picking up 47 yards on 14 carries. The Dolphins had 103 yards rushing and Matt Moore passed for 209 yards, but no TDs and 1 INT.
Rex Grossman, back at the helm of the Redskins, passed for 215 yards but threw no TDs and 2 INTs, and the Redskins managed only 61 yards on the ground.
