Round One Update:

The Washington Redskins selected TCU WR Josh Doctson with the 22nd overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Washington pretty much moved back one slot with the Houston Texans to add a cherry on top of their cake. They netted a 2017 6th round pick while still getting their guy, which in hindsight was solid.

Doctson will provide the Redskins with needed size (6ft 2, 202). His body control and jump ball skills are exceptional. He will instantly become an additional redzone target for the team. Jay Gruden loves the fade route and likes to call it even outside of the redzone. Prior to Doctson, he really didn’t have a receiver to run that route; but now he does.

Josh Doctson says he has no problem playing special teams, which is an added bonus. It’s a solid pick. I’ve had my concerns about him, but it is a pick I understand at a position I felt the Redskins needed to upgrade.
