New Orleans Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma is worried about how fans will react to the ongoing lockout situation between the NFL and the NFLPA. He told reporters, “It’s never a good look for the game. It’s never a good look for the fans to have the players and the owners arguing over money, and so hopefully we can get it worked out as soon as possible and get back to playing.”
Vilma’s offseason has yet to really be affected as he’s working out and bolstering his charity work in Haiti. Still, he’s wary of the labor situation and its impact.
“It hasn’t gone the way I wanted, just because I want to play football,” he said. “We always talk about, ‘the business side of football,’ and we just try to get over these hurdles as quickly and smoothly as possible.”
