Pro Player Insiders attended the first walkthrough practice at Buffalo Bills Training Camp today in Rochester, New York. Many of the veteran players expressed their excitement to be back at camp, which takes place at St. John Fisher College; however, for the rookie players this is their first time at a NFL training camp and a brand new experience.
We caught up with Bills rookie wide receiver TJ Graham today after the walkthrough and he sounded like he is enjoying training camp so far, but is already physically exhausted and realizes he has a long road ahead of him. Graham was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of North Carolina State University.
Graham is slowly realizing the NFL is a totally different game than college football, but is up for the challenge and is enjoying every minute of it. Graham and his teammates are eager to get out on the field to practice and interact with the well-known Bills fan base, known as the “Bills Mafia”, throughout camp. In the interview Graham not only told us about his expectations for training camp, but he also revealed some interesting facts about himself that many Bills fans may not know about him.
Pro Player Insiders (PPI): We know this is your first NFL training camp so how is it going so far? What has the experience been like in the past couple of days?
T.J. Graham: It feels like, you know when you’re a little kid and you go to summer camps and football camps, it kind of felt like that the first couple of days. I’m really excited to come out here and play. I’m just really happy, maybe things will change later on because I’m already really tired and worn out but right now I’m pretty excited to start practice.
PPI: I know a lot of Bills fans are looking forward to the first open practice today, are you excited or nervous for your first experience with Bills fans?
T.J. Graham: Well, I’ve never actually practiced in front of a bunch of fans before. They’ll get to see the times I make mistakes and see how I respond to it, so I mean it will be fun and I will get to make plays and actually have people to cheer for me at practice.
PPI: You’re obviously new to this team, so what do you think are a few things Bills fans might not know about you?
T.J. Graham: Well first off, I’m Jamaican. I’m also really enjoying my time in Buffalo actually. I’m living on the water in Buffalo, so I’m really turning into a person that loves the water and I’ve never really been around it before. I love electronics; I probably have everything, electronics-wise, that Best Buy has to offer. Also, my favorite artist is Wiz Khalifa because he is always talking about making it and being better than where he was in life before he was famous.
