As Terrell Owens recovers from his knee injury, interest in the free agent wide receiver is starting to develop. Titans coach Mike Munchak said this week that the team would take a look at him as soon as Owens is healthy enough to pass a physical.
Owens’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said that TO should be medically cleared in 2-3 weeks.
Munchak said. “Of course us, or whoever else, is going to take a look, just like we have with other free agents, to see what kind of shape he’s in.”
“A lot is going to depend for us on how we are producing at that position three weeks or two weeks from now, and how we’re doing [overall],” Munchak added.
“A player that has his capabilities…. If he has a way of helping our team win, then for sure you’re going to take a look at him.”
At his age and coming off knee surgery, he likely has lost some of the top end speed that he had, but he was still very effective last season. Owens is 37 years old and caught 72 balls for 983 yards and 9 TDs last year for the Bengals.
