After reviewing tape on the Atlanta Falcons in anticipation of their game this weekend, the Titans defensive line has come to a one big conclusion – the Falcons play dirty.
“They’ll hit you late, and around the pile they’ll hit you in the back,” defensive end William Hayes said. “They’ll keep holding your jersey, and just kind of pester you, just a lot of stupid stuff really. But that is my type of football anyway. I don’t like a quiet game.”’
“It’s their whole O-line,” Hayes said. “But that’s OK. I am down for a little junk-talking.”
And its not just Hayes. Defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks echoed his comments.
“Just seeing them on tape, we know what kind of guys they are,” Marks said. “They do a lot of after the play. If I am running to the pile and see a guy is down I am not going to hit him, but they are coming to push you in the back.
But Marks knows that the key to victory is to avoid retaliation and play smart football. “But you can’t let it get to you. And if you get after them and play hard and attack them, they won’t be able to do it.”
