The Buffalo Bills were back on the playing field this week giving back to the local community. The Bills held their second annual Play 60 Ultimate Field Day at Ralph Wilson Stadium last Saturday. Twenty nine Buffalo Bills players including Fred Jackson, C.J. Spiller and Rookie Wide-Outs Robert Woods took the field with young aspiring fans to promote getting outside and being active. The Ultimate Field day featured multiple football-themed events and activities. Drills included a punt catching/return station, a running back station, a wide receiver station and several others. Each station was run by Buffalo Bills players and staff. Along with the Play 60 activities, the day’s festivities also featured player autographs, stadium and locker room tours, a National Football League Hall of Fame exhibit, air brush tattoos, and souvenir opportunities. The Erie County Sheriff’s Department provided I.D. cards for children as well.
Bills Executive Vice President Mary Owen was thrilled with the outcome and the message Play 60 provides. “The Play 60 Ultimate Field Day has quickly become one of our most important and enjoyable events of the year, and we are proud to be able to offer it once again at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The Bills and the NFL feel strongly about the need for children to get 60 minutes of exercise each day, and we hope the Ultimate Field Day will help them in achieving this goal” said Owen.
