ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that WR Ted Ginn Jr. will sign a 1-year deal with the Panthers. Ginn looks more like a return specialist at this point, but Carolina provides a better path to wideout work than he would have faced in San Francisco. Behind Steve Smith, no other Panthers WR caught more than 44 passes last season. Louis Murphy, who hauled in 25, already left for the Giants. Ginn caught just 33 passes over 3 seasons with the 49ers.
