T.J. Yates suffers shoulder injury

Texans QB T.J. Yates suffered an apparent left (non-throwing) shoulder injury early in Sunday’s game against the Titans. He headed back to the locker room for a brief time and spent the rest of the day on the sidelines. The injury didn’t look serious, Yates wasn’t in obvious pain on the sidelines, and HC Gary Kubiak even said that Yates could have re-entered if the team needed him to. But Houston radio personality John Lopez is hearing that the shoulder may be separated. We’d take that report with a giant grain of salt as Lopez isn’t known for breaking news. We’ll pass along any updates we get on Yates. If he can’t play in the Texans’ playoff game next weekend, QB Jake Delhomme would start.
