Steelers’ Throwback Jersey Not Earning Fans

The Pittsburgh Steelers, one of the most storied franchises in the NFL, are celebrating their 80th season with a throwback jersey, which they will wear for two games this season.  The jersey isn’t earning a lot of fans, including from at least one of the players that will have to wear it.

The full photo of the uniform is given below.  Upon seeing it, James Harrison tweeted “There’s a reason these jerseys were from 1932… it’s 2012 now though, so send them back!!! Lol”

The uniforms are modeled on the 1934 Pittsburgh Pirates jerseys, but we totally have to agree with Harrison on this point.  Football isn’t about fashion, but there are limits.

Looking at them only brings one image to mind… John Belushi as the Killer Bees.  And things didn’t end so well for him.
