The Washington Post’s Mike Jones confirms that Redskins RB Ryan Torain will get the “first shot” at the starting job in training camp. No surprise here. Torain was easily the most effective RB on Washington’s roster last year. But he has a couple new guys — rookies Roy Helu and Evan Royster — to fend off this summer. The ultra-injury prone Torain will need to stay healthy throughout training camp and the preseason in order to enter Week 1 as Washington’s starting RB. We’re not confident he’ll do so.
