After putting in a limited workout on Thursday, Chargers RB Ryan Mathews (calf) was held out on Friday. HC Norv Turner confirmed that Mathews was sore during and after Thursday’s practice. He’ll be a game-time decision for this weekend’s game against the Raiders. "He wants to play, and I’d like to see him play," Turner said. "We’ll see where he is on Sunday." Mathews owners are in a tough spot with his game not kicking off until 4:15 pm ET. And even if he ends up active, he’ll be a risky fantasy play. Mathews is better off on your bench this week.
