Redskins RB Roy Helu operated as the team's clear feature back on Sunday, finishing with career-highs in carries (23) and rushing yards (108). Afterwards, HC Mike Shanahan said that he believed Helu was "ready to play a full game." RB Ryan Torain didn't even step on the field against the Seahawks, and RB Evan Royster carried just once. "He should get the chance to get the load put on him," Shanny said of Helu. "I thought he had played enough and was comfortable enough to go out there and see what he could do… He got his opportunity and he ran extremely hard.” Nothing is ever set in stone with Shanahan, but at least for now it seems like he's committed to Helu as his workhorse.
