Reggie Smith on Abbreviation Etiquette

According to Panthers defensive back Reggie Smith, the abbreviation JK (for “just kidding”) is another way of saying how you really feel without offending someone. Smith jokingly tweeted “JK = Saying what you really think and getting away with it. Lol”

But will saying JK turn into the new LOL? Does everyone really laugh out loud when sending “lol”, so are people really kidding when saying “jk” or is that just Reggie? After that tweet, I’m curious as to how many of Reggie’s followers will wonder when he says JK.
