Games of Importance

Saturday:

Washington vs Tennessee

This game is a must win game for both teams. Who ever loses this game can say there is a good chance that the playoffs will not be in their future for this season. Washington has been on a tremendous slide since the injury to Alex Smith and are turning to Josh Johnson again to help the Redskins keep pace in the NFC East division race. The good news for Redskin fans is that even if they lose as long as Dallas and Philadelphia lose they have an outside shot next week. But they are playing a Tennessee team that needs to win and get some help in order to make the playoffs. Derrick Henry has been running around, through and past defenders over the last 2 weeks. He’s rushed for 408 yards in the teams last two games and they both were victories. As long as they can win at home on Saturday, their matchup with Indianapolis will determine will have extra importance.

Baltimore vs Los Angeles Chargers

Baltimore’s playoff hopes are riding on beating a Chargers team who can still win 13 games and still have to travel on the road in the playoffs. Lamar Jackson hasn’t beaten a team with a top-10 defense all season long. I expect the Chargers to blitz the rookie Quarterback and force Jackson to beat them with his arm. Los Angeles still have the chance of Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler being able to suit up in the backfield. Both are needed especially  since the Ravens are one of the better defenses in the NFL.

Saturday Predictions:

Tennessee 27 Washington 17

Los Angeles 24 Baltimore 20
