After suffering a broken foot in Sunday’s exhibition beatdown of the Rams, Indy ILB Pat Angerer is expected to miss at least 6 weeks. The timeline probably means he’ll miss at least the first 2 regular-season games. That’s particularly bad news because a prime replacement option, A.J. Edds, had already been lost for the year. Instead, the team plans to fill Angerer’s spot "kind of by committee." Jerrell Freeman and his 0 games of NFL experience might be the first one up. He — or anyone else — will obviously have to show quite a bit to be worth a look. Kavell Conner could collect a few more tackles while Angerer’s out.
