Panthers Sign Free Agent Trenton Robinson

The Carolina Panthers have signed free agent safety Trenton Robinson to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.

Robinson, 5-9 and 195 pounds, joins Carolina after three seasons (2013-2015) in Washington. Last season, Robinson played in nine games with seven starts before being placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

Drafted in the sixth round (180th overall) by San Francisco in 2012, Robinson also spent time on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad in 2013. He has played in 38 career games with eight starts and recorded 88 tackles, four passes defensed, two interceptions and a fumble recovery.
