In his introductory press conference on Thursday, Eagles HC Chip Kelly said he's a "huge fan" of QB Nick Foles. That goes dead against convential wisdom. Foles is a slow-footed, dropback passer. Kelly runs a spread attack that requires a mobile QB. But he said that he doesn't need a QB that can run. "Perception is we run our quarterback all the time. Reality is that's not the case," Kelly said. He saw plenty of Foles while at Oregon. In 3 career starts against the Ducks, Foles racked up 1,160 yards, 10 TDs, and just 1 INT. No wonder Kelly is a fan! We're still skeptical that Foles will win Philly's starting job though. Michael Vick, or a rookie like Geno Smith, is a better bet. We'll track the situation throughout the offseason.
