NHL Trade Deadline

With only about 3 weeks left until the NHL trade deadline, many big names have been thrown into the mix and may are wondering who could be on the move and where these names could end up.

To start some big names out of New York, the Rangers are making it known that they are trying to trade forward Rick Nash before he becomes a free agent in the offseason. They have set the asking price at a 1st round pick and a top prospect. The Rangers placed Brendan Smith on waivers and has cleared waivers. The Rangers have also set and asking price for Michael Grabner at a first round pick. Other players they are trying trade is Mats Zuccarello and captain Ryan McDonagh. Although no asking prices have been set for these two, the Rangers are listening to offers, but no offers have surfaced as of late. It appears that the Rangers are in full sellout mode, which can only mean that they are starting the painful process of a rebuild. Even late play, the Rangers found themselves sitting on  3 wins in 20 games. Ryan McDonagh even commented, “It’s been brutal…”

Transitioning form the big city into the heated desert, the Arizona Coyotes are rumored to be shopping forward Max Domi, but GM John Chayka has denied these rumors. Whether they are rumors or not, the Pittsburgh Penguins are reportedly interested in Domi. The Coyotes have also reportedly set and asking price for defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson as they want two top-flight players and a first-round pick. The Toronto Maple Leafs are “seriously interested,” in the Swedish defenseman.

The Detroit Red Wings have also rumored to be shopping forwards Tomas Tatar and Gustav Nyquist. The Nashville Predators are reportedly interested in either of these two forwards. After an impressing Stanley Cup playoff run last season, they could use some additional fire power.

Another big name from the Buffalo Sabres is forward Evander Kane. Kane has been getting some serious interest from around the league and is one of the biggest name on the trade block.

Where will these names end up come 3 weeks? Will any of them be moved?
