The NFLPA has issued a warning about a website claiming to be bringing NFL players together for a vote on recertification, but which is not affiliated with the NFLPA or the NFL.
George Atallah of the NFLPA, issued the following message: ”The NFLVR website is not real. The NFL knows nothing about it either. Ignore it if you are solicited.”
The hastily-constructed website was created Thursday afternoon by Austin Jordan of Roanoke, Virginia, according to WhoIs.com. The message on the website home page reads in part, “The initial purpose of this site is to bring all NFL Players together in one place to vote for recertification of the NFL Players Union.”
