NFC Players of the Week

The NFC players of the week for Week Five are:

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week, for leading the Vikings to their first victory of the season 34-10 over the Arizona Cardinals.  Peterson scored three first-quarter touchdowns and totaled 122 rushing yards.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week, for helping to lead the 49ers 48-3 trouncing of the Buccaneers.  Willis had 18 tackles and recovered a fumble, and it is the first Player of the Week award for the four-time Pro Bowler.

The NFC Special Teams Player of the Week was the Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby, who made all four field goals in Sunday’s win over the Falcons, including a Packers-record-tying 56-yard field goal.
