The biggest story coming out of Miami Dolphins’ practice on Tuesday was Brandon Albert fully participated in a full practice with the team. Albert has been slowly recovering from his ACL and MCL tear he suffered last November against the Detroit Lions.
While Albert has been off the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list for a little while now, the Dolphins have been taking it slow with him. Albert says he was ready to get back out there with his teammates.
“I haven’t played football in a while and I just want to be out there with my teammates,” said Albert.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill thought it was great Albert fully participated in practice on Tuesday.
“I was giving him a hard time in the weight room earlier today, but excited to have him back out there,” said Tannehill. “It’s been great just to see him kind of work his way back over the past weeks and to have him out there full-time today is going to be great.”
Albert told reporters “we’ll see” as far as his status in Saturday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, but it is unlikely he plays.
Koa Misi Returns
Koa Misi returned to practice for the first time since August 4 as he has been recovering from an ankle injury. While the linebacker actively practicing with the team on Tuesday, Misi’s middle linebacker spot isn’t guaranteed.
Kelvin Sheppard has been starting in Misi’s place throughout training camp and the preseason. After practice, head coach Joe Philbin didn’t say where Misi or Sheppard would play in the Dolphins defense.
“We’re still getting him (Misi) repetitions at a variety of different spots, said Philbin. “We’re certainly, based on where he’s at, this is like, as you just mentioned, it’s his first day back. We’ve got to see how he responds, see how he feels tomorrow. We certainly haven’t made any decisions about whose job it is or isn’t, whose it is to lose or earn.”
Other Notes from Tuesday’s practice
Jason Fox, DeVante Parker, Jamar Taylor and Jordan Tripp did not practice on Tuesday. Fox is still recovering from the concussion he suffered on Saturday night against the Carolina Panthers. Parker, while off the PUP list is still recovering off from foot surgery.
#Dolphins CB Jamar Taylor (quadriceps) could miss 10-14 days. Hope is that he practices some time next week.

Adam Caplan of ESPN NFL Insiders reported that Taylor could miss 10-14 with a quadriceps injury. Tripp injured his ankle against the Chicago Bears in the Dolphins first preseason game and is still recovering from that.
