Free agent QB Matt Moore will reportedly sign a 2-year deal with Miami on Friday. The deal is expected to be worth upwards of $7.5 million when including incentives. Moore has been linked to Miami since May, as HC Tony Sparano and GM Jeff Ireland are familiar with him from their time in Dallas. Moore showed promise in two 2007 preseason games, but the Cowboys lost him to Carolina after trying to sneak him through waivers. With the Dolphins, he’s expected to compete with Chad Henne for a starting job. While we believe Henne is the clubhouse leader, his track record suggests Moore will see action at some point in 2011. The signing likely means the Fins won’t pull the trigger on a trade for Kyle Orton.
