Matt Cassel could miss Week 1 with rib injury

Chiefs HC Todd Haley said QB Matt Cassel simply had the wind knocked out of him in the team's preseason finale.  But beat writer Adam Teicher reports that Cassel has a rib injury that could force him out of the regular season opener against the Bills.  If Cassel can't go, Tyler Palko would step in as Kansas City's starting QB.  It'd obviously be a big blow to the passing game.

Update: Beat writer Nick Wright confirms Teicher's original report, adding that Cassel's rib is cracked.  Fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on him in Week 1.
