Chiefs HC Todd Haley made it clear that FB Le’Ron McClain won’t have a big ball-carrying role this year. “He’s a big, physical fullback that obviously in the past has shown really good run ability,” Haley said. “That being said, he’s very clear and we’re very clear that he’s coming in to be our fullback, first and foremost." McClain might siphon a few short-yardage and goal line carries from RB Thomas Jones, but he’s not a threat to RB Jamaal Charles’ workload.
