The general consensus this offseason has been that Denver will deal QB Kyle Orton once the lockout is lifted and hand the reins to QB Tim Tebow. But NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora considers an Orton trade unlikely. “Despite Tebow mania sweeping the country and a segment of the Broncos’ fanbase, Orton by far gives the team its best chance of winning games now,” LaCanfora writes. Denver is reportedly looking for a 2nd-round pick in return for Orton, and most in the organization don’t believe they’ll be able to get it. If Orton does stick in Denver, he’d almost certainly beat out Tebow for the starting job.
