Kenny Phillips not progressing as hoped

S Kenny Phillips hasn't lost his starting job, but he also hasn't displayed the progress his DC hoped for. Referring to the "quantam leap" he said he was hoping for at the beginning of camp, Perry Fewell said Thursday he has gotten “not the leaps that I wanted to see.” The  DC added, “I am hoping that he will grow and continue to grow for us, but I looked for more than what we saw in the preseason." In case anyone wondered by the Giants decided to bring back S Deon Grant during camp, here's your answer. Look for more of the 3-safety sets for last year, and expect more less-than-stellar stats from Phillips.
