Judge Boylan Requires Players and Owners Meeting July 19

Even though federal mediator Judge Arthur Boylan is on vacation this week, he like many of us, still has the lockout on his mind.

This morning NFL players and owners were informed that Judge Boylan is requiring both sides to meet with him in Minnesota on July 19.

In the meantime, the parties are of course free to meet and negotiate on their own although progress on that front may have slowed.  Current stumbling blocks are said to include both a rookie wage scale and internal differences among the 32 owners.

The business teams are not expected to pick up face-to-face meetings on Monday, more likely those meetings will not happen until Wednesday.
