The Bears announced that QB Jay Cutler will undergo surgery on Tuesday to repair a fractured thumb. It sounds like the injury occurred when Cutler was trying to make a tackle after throwing a 4th-quarter INT. The team is hoping to get him back before the end of the regular season, but that seems optimistic since his timetable for return is 6-8 weeks. Cutler can be dropped in redraft fantasy leagues. Meanwhile, Caleb Hanie will take over as Chicago's starting QB. He has an NFL arm but is obviously lacking in the experience department. Hanie will operate a run-heavy offense with a sub-par group of WRs. He's only worth a look in 2-QB leagues.
